Truepoint Laser Scanning
Overview of Services We Offer:

Capture. Analyze. Define. That is what we do at TruePoint Laser Scanning.

Scan Before You Plan

By incorporating 3D laser scanning in the beginning stages of a project, clients are able to realize even greater value and benefits. A scan done in the early stages of a project allows the design process to be accelerated because the scan provides a large amount of important information up front. For example, providing the scan data to subcontractors as part of the RFQ package allows the subcontractors to give a more accurate dollar figure in their proposal back to the client. Accordingly, everyone involved in the project--including the architects, engineers, and contractors--are able to plan better for the project, which can, in turn, reduce potential clashes before the final design and construction begin. Thus, having more precise and definite information at the pre-planning phase allows for better planning throughout the whole project. Additionally, the sooner the information is made available, the more value the client can get from it.

TruePoint caters to a national client base, and, as a client, you are always our priority. 3D laser scanning is our sole business, not just a part of it, so we are dedicated to providing you with timely and accurate responses and results.

Capture.
TruePoint serves a number of industries.

  • Architectural Documentation and Historical Preservation
  • Commercial Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP)
  • Engineering Professionals
  • Construction Laser Scanning
  • Hospitals and Universities
  • Oi & Gas: Refineries, Process Areas and Distribution Facilities
  • Municipalities
  • Energy Manufacturing Plants
  • Water and Waste Water Treatment Facilities
  • Manufacturing and Process Facilities
  • Educational, Healthcare and Pharmaceutical
  • Office Buildings
  • Athletic Stadiums, Arenas and Complexes
  • 3D Gaming and Software Development
  • Overhead Clearances
  • Power, Process & Plant Applications
  • Telecommunications

The data collected from the scans can provide information on support analysis, design, and prefabrication. Laser scanning is also ideal for civil engineers and planners, since the data can be scanned quickly and safely, with little impact on traffic.

Analyze.
At TruePoint, we use up-to-date software in which to analyze and deliver the point cloud data in the way you need it. We offer high-definition 3D laser scanning for accurately capturing 3 dimensional data in a wide variety of settings, regardless of size and surface features. We can survey large-scale structures providing you with high definition 3D data quickly.

Define.
TruePoint defines the data by offering it in the form of electronic deliverable you want it in, from raw point cloud data to layered intelligent models. We can provide you with BIM (Building Information Modeling), which gives architects, engineers, general contractors and facility managers the ability to manage the building data throughout its whole life-cycle.

*DISCLAIMER: 3D Laser scanning is a measurement tool to assist in capturing as-built conditions of existing spaces and should be used in conjunction with other sound industry practices for verifying these conditions, including but not limited to: site visits, manual field measurements and verifications of scan data, to ensure its accuracy prior to design and engineering. Because this data can be used for various applications and disciplines outside the scope of the original field scanning and beyond our control, we cannot guarantee that the data is accurate for these uses.
